In-House Pathology

We are fully equipped with in-house pathology equipment, allowing us to run a wide range of tests onsite and get results quickly when they matter most.

This includes:

• Haematology

• Biochemistry

• Electrolytes

• Thyroid hormone assays

• SDMA testing

• Progesterone measurement

• Serum amyloid A (SAA)

• Cortisol testing

• Glucose curves

• Packed cell volume (PCV)

• Pancreatitis screening

• Antibody titres

• Snap tests (e.g. FeLV/FIV, Parvovirus)

• Cytology

• Urinalysis

• Blood pressure measurement

Having these tests available in-house means we can often diagnose and begin treatment on the same day.

External / Laboratory Pathology

For more specialised testing, we also work with external laboratories.

This allows access to a broader range of diagnostics, including:

• Histopathology

• Bacterial and fungal cultures

• PCR testing

• DNA testing

• Cardiac biomarkers (e.g. proBNP)

• Other specialised assays

We’ll always guide you on what tests are most appropriate, and when sending samples to an external lab will provide more accurate or detailed information.
